When a customer walks into a boutique today, they are offered mainly tailoring services or a very limited collection of outfits. Moreover, the boutiques do not have the required machinery or skills to manufacture and deliver intricate outfits to their customers. We therefore launched “The Boutique Buddy” which metamorphoses the boutique from a tailoring shop into a fashion brand store which can offer unlimited fabric & outfits produced professionally.
“The Boutique Buddy” in its current form offers customized fabrics for apparel and home furnishing and would soon offer a huge gallery of delicate embroideries, laces and Silhouettes that customers can choose from. This has a huge potential to empower women to become entrepreneurs and digital boutique owners. They would just need “The Boutique Buddy”, understand the customer’s requirement, assist them in choosing the right fabric, silhouette, embellishments & take measurements of the customers. Once the order is confirmed, the centralised state of the art back end facility of Fashion Matrix Overseas would produce these orders and have them shipped to the boutique.
We did our first pilot project of “The Boutique Buddy” with Ms Nandini Kalyani, a women entrepreneur & owner of a fashion boutique “Mirror You” in RMV Extension Bengaluru. Her business has grown many fold and she is now able to offer customized fabrics and made to measure outfits to her customers. Her story was also published by the Times of India.
Our Offerings
The Boutique Buddy offers a huge gallery of curated prints from across the globe and a wide range of fabrics consisting of silks, organic cottons, Bamboos, Anti-bacterial Tencels, Modals, Viscose & Recycled Polyesters. The customers can now just walk into a boutique, choose the print and silhouette of their choice, select the fabric quality that suits their attire and budget and place the order with the boutique. The order is then produced and manufactured at our fully equipped back-end facility and is delivered back to the boutique who in turn delivers this to their customer. The Boutique owner would not be required to invest on any establishment or a factory. This is a very simple but powerful solution to empower women entrepreneurs without the risk of huge investments into manpower and machinery. Join “The Boutique Buddy” today!
